Medical gas installations have zones according to their respective functions and hazard levels. This article is about Digital Alarms or Medical Gas Alarms.
A Digital Alarm System is a unit that functions as an information tool that indicates the volume of medical gas in a medical gas installation work area. Alarm systems are typically located at the Nurse Station to facilitate monitoring and ensure that medical gas remains safe for patients to use at all times. Therefore, the work cannot be carried out by ordinary personnel. It must be carried out by professional experts, as safety and quality standards are required. All medical gas installation equipment is interconnected.
Management: If the alarm sounds and the lights flash, it means the gas volume in that area has decreased or may be too high. At this point, a technician must conduct a check in the central medical gas room. To silence the alarm on the alarm panel, please note that the WARNING indicator light (low or high) will not go out until the medical gas volume returns to normal.
If this condition is not met, both the sound and warning lights (low or high) will go out. Perform routine testing once a month to ensure the alarm is functioning properly. To test, simply press the TEST button on the alarm panel. Pressing this button will cause the sound to be heard and all indicator lights to come on. If this condition is met, the alarm is still in normal operation.
Greetings, Fresh, Medical Gas Installation.
