MEDICAL GAS INSTALLATION and Medical Vacuum, Medical Gas Alarms, Outlet Terminals, Oxygen Flowmeters,  FRES supports the vision of the Indonesian Ministry of Health in implementing medical gas installations.  Did you know, FRES friends, that medical gas installations are one of the most important needs in hospitals? Why? Because medical gas is one of the most needed during emergencies, requiring large-scale air at all times.

Medical Gas and Vacuum Installation Requirements

1. Professional installers

Medical gas installations should not be done simply because they involve the lives of many people. They must be carried out by professional workers, as they are required to be safe and maintain quality standards.

2. Central

- Oxygen Central
Similarly, oxygen central systems can be manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic, equipped with liquid oxygen tanks. Both central systems must meet medical standards. These central systems are not only operational but also adhere to applicable medical standards.

-Medical Compressed Air Central
Medical Compressed Air Centrals are used for equipment such as anesthesia systems and ventilators, typically located in the ICU/NICU/PICU. This medical compressed air operates at a pressure of 4 bar (60 psi). Furthermore, compressed air can be used for orthopedic purposes. Due to its perfect function in the medical field, every hospital must have a medical compressed air center.

-Medical Vacuum Center
A medical gas vacuum/suction/air suction center provides consistently available suction air from a central vacuum/suction/air suction source that is integrated into one unit and can produce stable and pure suction air for medical needs. The role of suction air is vital in the medical world, especially now that it has come under scrutiny. To support hospital operations, portable vacuum/suction systems have begun to be discontinued and replaced with centralized systems.

3. Medical Gas Pipes

Pipes must comply with applicable standards. Pipes must be made of copper with standards recognized both in Indonesia and internationally. The pipes used must be completely clean and free from contamination. The Medical Gas connection system must use silver welding with a gas mixture of oxygen and acetylene, where nitrogen gas must be flowed into the pipe during welding. The connection of medical gas piping installations must use appropriate fittings such as Elbows, Tees, Reducers, and Sockets. To differentiate the type of gas in the pipe installation, stickers must be installed according to the type of gas, stating the type and direction of flow with sufficient distance (±2 meters).

4. Zone Valve and Medical Gas Alarm

A Box Valve/Divider Valve is a device for regulating the flow of medical gas by closing, opening, or restricting the flow of medical gas. The Box Valve/Divider Valve not only regulates the flow of medical gas but also serves to protect an operational area from various preventive measures in the event of damage in one of the operational areas. This allows the Medical Gas Outlet/Inlet to supply the patient's gas needs and also remove waste products (fluids, blood, mucus, and so on).

The Digital Medical Gas Alarm System is a unit that functions as an information tool that indicates the level of medical gas pressure in a work area. The Alarm System is usually placed at the Nurse Station to make it easier to monitor and ensure that medical gases remain safe for patients to use at all times.

Manual and Digital Medical Gas Installation Systems

Manual Gas Manifold, provides a constant supply of gas from all cylinders in the central, both on the right and left sides. It is very suitable for use in hospitals whose oxygen usage is still below 100 cylinders per month. This central system is very efficient and safe in its operation. The pressure gauge can be clearly shown from the gas source and the total pressure distributed to the pipes and outlets. This central is also equipped with a safety valve where the valve will automatically open if the pressure is too high, 100% passed the pressure test. This manual manifold is available for O2, Air, N2O, N2, CO2, and Liquid Oxygen.

The Digital Automatic Manifold system is manufactured to high standards and quality and functions automatically to remove empty pressure from oxygen cylinders. Nitrous Oxide, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, and other types of gas (used) are transferred to a full (standby) cylinder to ensure a continuous flow of medical gas without having to wait for manual replacement by experts.
